Now before you run off and mark your calendars, here are a few Charlie Brown Fun Facts to get you in the holiday spirit:
- Charles Schultz invented the Christmas TV Special. “A Charlie Brown Christmas” was the FIRST 30-minute TV Christmas special and all others that have followed were inspired by this. INCLUDING “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “Frosty the Snowman”.
- Charlie Brown is NOT bald. Charlie Brown’s hair was actually so light and cut so short that it could not be seen very easily.
- Charlie Brown never kicked the football. After years of attempts and tricks, poor Charlie Brown never even got to kick the football.
- Charles Schultz won FIVE Emmy’s for his Charlie Brown TV specials, including “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”. And that’s why it has become such a massive family tradition to watch these fun and heartwarming family specials every year.
